Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, out of genuine respect for all God’s people:

“I hope to…talk with you…”
(2 John 1:12)

I really like the way John worded this, Jesus.

He didn’t say he wanted to talk to them

although hey – this is the Apostle John!
He certainly could have played that card.

Instead, You’re giving me a glimpse into his heart:

He wanted to talk with them –

a thing that involves listening
as much as speaking

a thing that requires humility –

John admitting he still had much to learn
even though he had so much to share.

May I never forget John’s example, Jesus.

No matter what the circumstances
no matter who the person

may I always seek to talk…with them.
