Lazaroo – Monday, December 20, 2010
Dec 20, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in holy outrage:
“You place defiled food on my altar.”
(Malachi 1:7)
Who would do such a thing, Jesus?
What are they thinking?
You’re the God of gods
the Creator of all that is.
Who would dream of offering You anything
but their very, very best?
Do they think You don’t know?
Do they think You can’t see?
What an insult to Your power, awareness and majesty!
But that’s not the worst of it.
You love them so much that You gave Your life on the cross for them!
Doesn’t that matter?
Doesn’t that count for something?
Where’s the gratitude?
I’ll tell You one thing:
I would never…
O God.
Would I?
Have I?
Is there any gift I’m now giving You
any words I’ve been speaking to You
any song I sing to You
any service I’m rendering to You
that is less than my best?
