Lazaroo – Monday, February 11, 2013
Feb 11, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with hang-in-there belief:
“Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone…”
(3 John 1:12)
I’m happy for him, Jesus.
I’m sure his mother is proud.
But I can’t identify.
I’m absolutely not “well spoken of by everyone.”
I’ve got my share of detractors
people who think I’ve made too many mistakes
those who – fairly or unfairly – are disappointed in me.
I’m not sure how many critics I actually have.
That’s because not all of them criticize me to my face.
Some of them prefer to find fault with me behind my back.
It’s only later that I learn about it from others.
I have some enemies, too –
people who wouldn’t exactly be heartbroken
to hear something bad had happened to me.
But I’m not alone, am I?
Everything I’ve just said about me
could be said about You.
Except that I fully deserve much of the criticism I’ve received
and You don’t.
