Lazaroo – Monday, July 13, 2009
Jul 13, 2009 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in a spirit of obedient submission:
“She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him.”
(Exodus 2:6)
Great God!
You moved on the heart of Pharaoh’s daughter to save that baby’s life…
…so that eighty years later, You could move on the heart of that baby to save a nation.
Pharaoh’s daughter didn’t know what was at stake.
She just followed her heart.
The thing is, I don’t trust my own heart, Jesus. It’s deceived me too many times.
But I do trust Your heart…
…to move mine.
And so I beg You:
Move my heart!
Even when I don’t understand.
Even though I won’t know till heaven what’s at stake.
Help me be sensitive to Your slightest inner prompt, Holy Spirit!
While You protect me from the whims of my own heart…
…and the crass manipulation of others’.

“The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and maintains his wrath against his enemies.”
(Nahum 1:2)
was a good one for me.
It’s true; You (God) are love. But we need to be reminded that there are conseqences when we stray from the path where you are leading us. We must follow You in everything and everywhere.
