Lazaroo – Monday, July 13, 2009

Jul 13, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in a spirit of obedient submission:

“She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him.”
(Exodus 2:6)

Great God!

You moved on the heart of Pharaoh’s daughter to save that baby’s life…

…so that eighty years later, You could move on the heart of that baby to save a nation.

Pharaoh’s daughter didn’t know what was at stake.

She just followed her heart.

The thing is, I don’t trust my own heart, Jesus. It’s deceived me too many times.

But I do trust Your heart…

…to move mine.

And so I beg You:

Move my heart!

Even when I don’t understand.

Even though I won’t know till heaven what’s at stake.

Help me be sensitive to Your slightest inner prompt, Holy Spirit!

While You protect me from the whims of my own heart…

…and the crass manipulation of others’.

“The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and maintains his wrath against his enemies.”
    (Nahum 1:2)
was a good one for me.
It’s true; You (God) are love. But we need to be reminded that there are conseqences when we stray from the path where you are leading us. We must follow You in everything and everywhere.

I am in one of those times when it feels like I’m standing still. I use lazaroo daily and it does ignite my 1on1 with Jesus. The prayers that have come on lately let me know that my heart is moving, and the way I feel now is just the struggles of life. Jesus also allows us to experience trials for that I am thankful too. THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Each day I look forward to what God is trying to teach me.
I have been touched and moved to think and act more obediently daily by these devotionals.

Early this morning,my prayer was, “Lord, please change me/change my heart to be more like Jesus. Please help me in my Love Walk. Please help me to love more, listen more and be less judgmental.and critical of others.”

Yes, Lord, “move my heart and help me to be sensitive to your Spirit.”

I think it is amazing that God moved the heart of an EGYPTIAN to orchestrate the delivery of the Jews. God can move any heart, so there is hope for mine.

That is my prayer, trusting God to move my heart. To be sensitive to his calling. How many times I have I missed your calling because I was not listening? Please use me as you will, while protecting me from my own impulses.
