Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in full confidence:

“‘I am with you,’ declares the LORD.”
(Haggai 1:13)

I cannot tell You how much this means to me, Jesus.

I have to know You’re with me.

Although…when I think about it…
that’s a pretty amazing promise.

After all, I’m the one who ought to be with You –

following You
keeping my eyes focused on You
hanging on Your every Word
adjusting my every step to Yours

not the other way ‘round.

And that’s my goal!

But to think that You’ve promised also to be with me?

to follow me wherever I go
to keep Your eyes focused on me
to monitor my every word
to guard my every step?!

O God.

What a miracle of love You are.

I don’t deserve such devotion

but oh, how I need it.

And it is that depth of love and devotion

that it is my heart’s desire to return to You.
