Lazaroo – Monday, June 3, 2013

Jun 03, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in growing realization:

“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible…”
(1 Timothy 1:17)

That “invisible” thing, Jesus…

trips a lot of people up.

They want a god they can

see
hear
touch.

That’s why they fashion idols.

They cut down a tree
use some of the wood to warm themselves

carve the rest of it into an idol

to worship
to beg for protection
to answer their prayers.

The idol can’t see, hear or speak
but at least

unlike You

it’s not invisible.

“If only I could see, hear, touch your God!” they say.
“Then I would believe in Him.”

So You came to this earth in a form all of us could understand:

a man.

You lived among us for 33 years.

We could see, hear, touch You.

We were allowed to talk with You
ask You questions.

You worked countless miracles before our very eyes.

And we crucified You.
