Lazaroo – Monday, March 18, 2013
Mar 18, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unquenchable passion:
“Joab answered, ‘As surely as God lives, if you had not spoken, the men would have continued the pursuit of their brothers until morning.’ So Joab blew the trumpet, and all the men came to a halt; they no longer pursued Israel, nor did they fight anymore.”
(2 Samuel 2:27-28)
How many lives did Abner save, Jesus?
All he had to do was raise his voice.
But he couldn’t have known how effective that would be –
until he dared do it!
He and Joab were generals, fighting one another.
How many wars can be stopped this way?
He may have expected Joab would laugh in his face
accuse him of cowardice –
for good reason!
But Abner took the chance – and the miracle happened.
The killing stopped.
Where do I need to speak up, Father?
Are there wrongs being done
killings occurring
that will continue…
until I raise my voice?
