Lazaroo – Monday, May 10, 2010
May 10, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with total transparency:
“The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position.”
(James 1:9)
You keep turning this world upside-down, Jesus.
I mean right side-up.
This world I live in looks down on the person who
wears shabby clothes
struggles to pay the rent
doesn’t have a college degree
walks because he can’t afford a car.
But You tell me to look up to such a person.
You tell me if I could only see through Your eyes
I would be able to discern that such a person
in fact holds a lofty position.
I believe You…but I’m not sure why this is so.
Is it because a fellow Christian who has very little of this world’s possessions
is less distracted by them
is constantly reminded that You are her only hope
can see clearly that very soon
all the trappings of this world will fade away?
