Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in sharpened reflection:

“…you made the Nazirites drink wine…”
(Amos 2:12)

The Nazirites weren’t supposed to drink wine, were they?

They weren’t supposed to even touch the stuff.

But they lived among people who felt free to imbibe.

What did their neighbors do – make fun of them for not drinking?
Tempt them by describing what they were missing?

Or did they just ostracize them because they were different?

O Jesus!

May I never cause someone to sin
by coercing, manipulating, tempting them

to go against what You have placed on their heart.
