“If he offers a lamb, he is to present it before the LORD.”

That’s how You want me to bring all my offerings, isn’t it, Jesus?

before You.

You don’t want me to help the poor solely because they need food, clothing and shelter.

You want me to help the poor

before You.

You don’t want me to sing songs of worship just because the musicians and worship leaders are passionate and gifted.

You want me to worship You with goose bumps
knowing I’m offering a sacrifice of praise

before You.

You don’t want me to drop my Tithe envelope in the offering plate just because my church needs the money to expand its campus, pay salaries, run programs.

You want me to be exquisitely aware
as I reverently place my Tithe envelope in the plate
that I’m presenting it as an offering

before You.
