Lazaroo – Saturday, April 21, 2012
Apr 21, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Take a deep breath and pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.”
(Galatians 1:20)
I hurt for Paul, Jesus.
He wouldn’t have talked this way
unless some of the people to whom He was writing
didn’t trust him.
So here He is, trying to gain credibility with them
by calling You as His witness.
Of course, if they believe he’s a liar
they won’t believe this, either.
They know liars will say anything, promise anything
to get people to believe them.
But, in fact, Paul wasn’t lying.
He knew how serious it was to say You would vouch for Him.
His vow before You may not have swayed his audience
but it was huge for Paul.
It’s a big deal to me, too, LORD.
Bottom line:
It doesn’t matter whether or not I tell people
I’m doing something “before You.”
Everything I do
is before You.
