Lazaroo – Saturday, April 23, 2011
Apr 23, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with the supernatural courage that only God provides:
“Your warriors, O Teman, will be terrified…”
(Obadiah 1:9)
You’ve created all kinds of people, Jesus –
most of us get scared some of the time
some of us stay scared most of the time
But a handful of us – the warriors! –
never get scared.
Our courageous, dedicated, highly-skilled, well-equipped armies
give us confidence.
Our warriors put themselves in harm’s way –
stationing their own bodies between us and our enemies.
Just knowing we have them to fall back on
provides enormous comfort.
But You told Your prophet Obadiah there would come a day
when even the warriors would become terrified.
Does the future hold such a day in store for me, Jesus?
If so, I dare not put my trust in warriors
even now.
The protection of armies, bombs, wealth, technology and soldiers
is mere illusion.
You are my only hope.
The source of my courage
is You.
