Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with building excitement:

“We have gone throughout the earth and found the whole world at rest and in peace.”
(Zechariah 1:11)

How long has it been since anyone could say that, Jesus:

The whole world “at rest and in peace?”

Wow.

What would that be like?

There have been wars and rumors of wars for as long as I can remember –

for as long as my parents and grandparents can remember, as well.

True, You told us not to let ourselves get too upset while all this turmoil takes place

You cautioned us that these events would only be “the beginning of birth pains.”

But surely the end of this world as I know it can’t be that far away!

So many people around me have the sense that something…

is about to happen.

I want it to, Jesus.

And the “something” I want to happen

is Your return.
