Lazaroo – Saturday, August 17, 2013
Aug 17, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with laser-focused intensity:
“…he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless…”
(Proverbs 2:7)
I feel like packing up my bags and going home, Jesus.
Blameless?
No way in this world.
My life has been anything but.
Everywhere I turn I’m reminded
of a mistake I’ve made
a person I’ve disappointed.
So what does this mean?
I have no shield?
No protection against Satan’s flaming arrows?
No. That can’t be.
My faith in You is my shield against every attack.
And then I notice that precious little word in Your promise:
“is”
not “was.”
My past doesn’t disqualify me.
In the power of Your indwelling Spirit
help me be blameless
today.
