As bad as it would be to have animal intestines smeared in my face because of my disobedience, the last seven words of that warning are the worst:

“…you will be carried off with it.”

Trashed.
Burned.
Eliminated.

Even though I’ve failed You repeatedly

You’ve given me chance after chance after chance.

If I’m not careful

I can become calloused
take Your goodness for granted

and keep throwing away these opportunities You’re giving me

all the way to the grave.
