Lazaroo – Saturday, January 8, 2011

Jan 08, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with trust-filled patience:

“The length of time David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.”
(2 Samuel 2:11)

But David was supposed to be king over all twelve tribes of Israel, Jesus!

Not just one of them.

His capitol city was supposed to be Jerusalem, not Hebron.

Seven years is a long time to spend in the wrong place.

But it wasn’t the wrong place, was it?

You used that time to prepare him.
During those seven years he grew stronger
while his enemies grew weaker.

You made good on every one of Your promises to David –

but not in the way or the time He expected You to.

Please remind me, Holy Spirit!

I’m not in the wrong place.
I’m not wasting time.

Every promise You’ve made to me will come true

in Your perfect

way
place
and time.

This was amazing to hear today. It speaks directly to my current situation. I have been in my “Hebron” for 10 years and have felt like I missed God. Just now I am beginning to see God bringing promises from the past back to my mind.

The thought that God was making David stronger while his enemies grew weaker is amazing. What an encouragement! Thank you so much!
