Lazaroo – Saturday, June 19, 2010

Jun 19, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with mature, obedient love:

“My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.”
(1 Corinthians 1:11)

How You must hate that, Jesus!

You endured unspeakable suffering

went to the cross
paid with Your very life to make us Your children

only to have us repay You by acting like immature, spoiled brats.

When I get caught in a quarrel, sooner or later I can feel it begin to

cheapen me
demean me
trivialize me

lower me to a level far beneath my birthright in You.

I feel so ashamed for having been caught once again in Satan’s argumentative trap!

What is wrong with me?

It’s my pride, isn’t it?

I think I have to defend myself, my ideas, my opinions.

Why can’t I simply let my “Yes” be yes and my “No,” no

and leave the rest in Your hands?

I owe You that.
