Lazaroo – Saturday, March 15, 2014
Mar 15, 2014 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in willing submission:
“Do not rebel…”
(Ezekiel 2:8)
There are lots of ways to rebel, aren’t there, Jesus?
There’s open, defiant rebellion.
As ugly as rebellion is
I’m guessing that’s the kind You prefer.
At least it’s honest.
There’s secret, hidden, subversive rebellion.
I’m guessing that’s the kind You hate most –
hypocrisy…backstabbing…subversion.
But the most dangerous of all is the rebellion against You I won’t even admit to myself
when I fool myself into thinking I’m a good person
giving enthusiastic lip service to Your Word
while quietly disobeying a Biblical principle here
a Scriptural commandment there
whenever I deem the cost too great.
