which is exactly what Hosea’s wife Gomer had done.

There was only one reason he took her back:

You told him to.

To his everlasting credit, he did –

maybe the hardest command he ever obeyed.

You wanted to demonstrate through him what You’ve done with me

in taking me back
after all my unfaithfulness to You.
