Lazaroo – Saturday, May 4, 2013
May 04, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo out loud:
“‘I am a great king,’ says the LORD Almighty…”
(Malachi 1:14)
Shame on me, Jesus –
for being so blind
so deaf
so ignorant
so insensitive
so unobservant
so calloused
so inattentive
so forgetful
that You have to say that.
It’s beneath You.
You shouldn’t have to point it out.
I should be the one making that point in Your behalf.
I should be unashamedly, unabashedly
shouting it
whispering it
writing it
singing it
sharing it
counseling it
broadcasting it
wearing it on my T’s
sticking it on my bumper
dangling it from my wrists:
You’re the King!
But not just any old king
You’re the Great King!
But not just a Great King
You’re my King!
You’re King of kings
LORD of lords.
So maybe if I start standing up
living it out
saying the gospel truth about You more often…
You won’t have to.
