Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with the eye of an artist:

“Your cheeks are beautiful with earrings, your neck with strings of jewels.”

This is pretty amazing, Jesus.

You’re letting me eavesdrop on Solomon’s most intimate moments –
his words of love to his wife.

Why did You decide to give me this glimpse into what is normally off-limits?

I know You have a reason.
Knowing You, You probably have many reasons.

You’ve told me everything that was written in the past was written to teach me

so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures
I might have hope.

So what can I learn from overhearing Solomon praise his wife’s beauty?

Hmmm.

I wonder if he was the one who gave her that jewelry.

Are You showing me that I will enjoy the beauty You’ve created

even more

when I contribute something of value to it?
