Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unrestrained allegiance:

“…it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.”
(Philippians 1:13)

Those are the only shackles I want to remain on my hands and feet, Jesus!

Deliver me from chains

of fear
addiction
unforgiveness
destructive habits
meaningless tradition
unreasonable expectations
irrelevant experiences
manipulative people
foolish goals
jealousy
anger

May the only chains that bind me

be those I’ve earned
because of my unswerving obedience to You.

I’ll gladly endure them as a badge of honor.
I count it a privilege to suffer for You.

I know You’ve promised to reward me for the pain and disgrace I endure…

but You are worthy of any

loss of freedom
shame I must bear
price I’m called on to pay.

I long for Your friends to be my friends.
They’re amazing!

But I’m also willing for Your enemies

to be mine.
