Lazaroo – Saturday, October 9, 2010

Oct 09, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a heart full of faith:

“…her wound is incurable…”
(Micah 1:9)

This is Your specialty, Jesus:

incurable wounds.

It may be the thing about You I love best.

I can make a series of terrible, foolish, rotten, sinful, stupid decisions
until I dig a ditch so wide, so steep, so deep
that no one could ever climb out of it.

The wound is incurable.

Then You step in and cure it.

I can neglect, offend, yell at, hurt, abuse, anger, betray another person
until – by all rights! – they refuse to have anything more to do with me.

I have no one but myself to blame.
My behavior was reprehensible, inexcusable, unforgivable.
The relationship is totally, absolutely, inarguably, irrevocably ruined beyond repair.

The wound is incurable.

Then You step in and cure it.

O Jesus.

There are some incurable wounds in my life that still remain.

I beg You –

step in.
