What a stunning revelation of who You are, Jesus!

Please help me grasp what You’re saying.
Something tells me there’s an eternity of meaning

in those three, simple words.

You’re not telling me You’re “similar” to light.

You’re declaring that You are light.
Light is what You are.

Wow.

That means

everything else is darkness.

it’s only by You
that I see

everything else is cold

You alone
keep me warm

everything else is sterile

nothing is creatable
apart from You

everything else is powerless

You are the Source
of all accomplishment

everything else is ignorance

all knowledge
is revealed by You

everything else is colorless

every hue of the rainbow
radiates from You

everything else is confusion

all clarity
comes from You

everything else is death

for You are the Author of all life
including mine.
