Lazaroo – Sunday, December 12, 2010
Dec 12, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning zeal:
“‘In that day,’ declares the LORD, ‘will I not destroy the wise men…?’”
(Obadiah 1:8)
You’re the giver of wisdom, Jesus –
that is…
all true wisdom.
There is a kind of knowledge
that masquerades as wisdom.
It appears to work for a while
but it has no legs
it can’t be sustained
it blows up in the faces of all who follow it.
In the end…
it leads to death.
May I never be deceived by such false wisdom!
May I never attempt to accomplish Your work
with the methods of this world.
The end does not justify the means.
I can’t choose a sinful tool
and expect it to give me a righteous result.
You want, expect, demand
that Your work
be done Your way.
May I never build my house on a foundation of sand
that You will be forced to sweep away.
