Lazaroo – Sunday, December 23, 2012
Dec 23, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with your whole heart:
“‘When you bring injured, crippled or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?’ says the LORD.”
(Malachi 1:13)
How dare I do this, Jesus?
How could I begin to think I might insult my God in this way
and get away with it?
And yet I do.
Every time I offer you less than my best
that’s a direct insult to You.
Every time I serve You halfheartedly
I’m acting like I don’t think You can see what I’m doing
or hear what I’m saying.
Every time I throw something together for You, giving it little thought or effort, while thinking to myself –
“That’s good enough.”
I’m behaving as though I can slap you in the face
confident You won’t do one blessed thing about it.
“Good enough” isn’t anywhere near good enough
for You.
