Lazaroo – Sunday, January 17, 2010
Jan 17, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning emotion:
“But Jonah had gone below deck, where he lay down and fell into a deep sleep. The captain went to him and said, ‘How can you sleep? Get up and call on your god! Maybe he will take notice of us, and we will not perish.’”
(Jonah 1:5-6)
Is there anywhere in my life where I’m doing this, Jesus?
Is there some area I think is under control
…that isn’t?
Am I contentedly napping under a “strong” pillar that is about to crumble from the force of the earthquake You know is coming
sending the whole building crashing down on my head?
If so, wake me up!
Quickly!
Help me see it, feel it, sense it – so I can call on You to spare us
to take pity on those for whom I am responsible
and intervene
so we will not be crushed.
