There have to be times like this, don’t there, Jesus?

Otherwise, there’s no true 1on1 with You.

There have to be times – many of them –

when it’s just You and me

as it was with Adam before Eve
walking with You in the garden.

You spoke to him and he listened
he spoke to You and You listened.

If there was something he didn’t understand
You were right there, to explain it.

He knew it was You, his Creator.

He didn’t have to ask anybody if it was You –

which was a good thing
because there was nobody to ask.

There came the day when You saw that it wasn’t good for him to be alone…

permanently.

But You knew he needed that time of solitude with You
before he was ready to be with anyone else.

I still do.
