Lazaroo – Sunday, July 25, 2010
Jul 25, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from your inmost being:
“It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans.”
(3 John 1:7)
Sometimes that’s the way it goes, Jesus.
The very people I’m trying to reach with Your gospel –
aren’t aware of their need
are absolutely no help.
Maybe that’s why You call them, “pagans.”
Many of their prayers are little more than superstitious repetition
they’re constantly worried about what they’ll eat, drink or wear
some of their “good deeds” actually advance Satan’s agenda
they think of sexual immorality as “satisfying a normal urge”
they seldom care about those outside their circle of friends
they think more of their gifts than they do of You, the Giver
they call good “evil “and evil “good.”
O God!
As I shake my head in disgust at what pagans do
please let none of those pagan behaviors
be found in me.
