Yes, You have, Jesus –

I’m standing in Your banquet hall right now.

I know this passage of Scripture expresses the delight of the wife for her husband

but I’m also aware that it goes deeper.

You’ve said everything that was written in the past was written to teach us who are Your church.

Certainly, this passage gives us a picture of the way love between a husband and wife can be experienced…

but it goes deeper.

Much deeper.

Your Church is Your bride. You treat us

like the perfect husband
treats the bride he loves with all his heart.

So right now, I’m thinking about this banquet hall into which You’ve taken me.

If I see through Your eyes

instead of non-trusting eyes of complaint

I see blessing after blessing…
opportunity after opportunity!
