What a beautiful picture of my daily walk with You, Jesus!

You were the one who kept Hannah from having children.
Heartbroken, Hannah made a huge promise to You.
In return, You made a promise to her.
She took You at Your Word.
She and her husband did everything they knew to do.
You did what they could not and gave her a child.
In gratitude, she kept her promise to You.
And You did more for her than You had promised.

Please help me to see my own heartbreaks

as the goad I need to make huge promises to You
as an incentive to do everything I know to do

while I wait in absolute confidence on You.
