Lazaroo – Sunday, March 24, 2013
Mar 24, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning emotion:
“The people of the half-tribe of Manasseh were numerous…the heads of their families…were brave warriors, famous men…”
(1 Chronicles 5:23-24)
“Brave” and “famous” seem to go together, don’t they, Jesus?
But not always!
Some of the bravest people I know aren’t famous.
Lots of famous people aren’t brave.
I don’t long to be famous.
But what I do want to be
is brave.
When confronted with a tough choice
I want to be brave enough to make the right one –
no matter what the cost.
When a powerful person is running over the poor and powerless
I want to be brave enough to stand up to them –
no matter what the cost.
When You give me my life’s assignment, sending me out like a sheep among wolves
I want to be brave enough to passionately pursue it –
no matter what the cost.
