Lazaroo – Sunday, March 9, 2014
Mar 09, 2014 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed determination:
“You will be like an oak with fading leaves…”
(Isaiah 1:30)
I don’t want to be like that, Jesus!
During spring and summer
the oak displays beautiful green leaves
then, for a short burst of time in the fall
its leaves blaze in a riot of gorgeous colors.
But afterwards, its leaves
fade
turn drab
fall.
Don’t let my life in You fade into winter, Father!
Don’t allow my love for You to grow cold.
And it won’t, will it?
So long as I keep spending time like this
with You.
