Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with clear-eyed perspective:

“…the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand –”
(Joel 2:1)

I’m sure that’s true, Jesus…

as You view time.

However, You made that statement through Your prophet Joel at least 2,500 years ago.

In light of eternity, that’s not even an eye blink.
But to us, that’s a long time.

Please, LORD –

don’t let me be blinded by what I can now see!

Even if that awesome Day is another 2,500 years away…

when I look back on it a hundred billion years from now
I will see if for what it really was:

not even a nanosecond.
