Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud all the way to the marrow of your bones:

“Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, ‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?’”
(Mark 1:23-24)

The answer is yes.

That’s exactly what You came to do, Jesus:

Destroy evil
stomp it out
annihilate it.

No one else can!

Try though I might
I can’t destroy evil in my own life –

not without You.

It’s like “Whack-a-Mole” –

every time I shove down evil in one area of my life
it pops up in another – uglier than before.

I want to do right…
until it comes time to do it.

Then I blow it.

Oh, not every time…
but enough of the time
to become deeply disheartening.

So far as I can tell, I’m not alone.
Everybody battles the same dilemma.
