Lazaroo – Sunday, September 18, 2011

Sep 18, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sold-out surrender:

“Now this was John’s testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was.”
(John 1:19)

That would be awesome, Jesus –

to be so full of the Holy Spirit
that people would send messengers to ask

who I am.

John didn’t work a single miracle.

He wasn’t connected to powerful people
who pulled strings so he’d get noticed.

He didn’t devise some feel-good message
that took advantage of people’s false hopes.

Just the reverse.

His was a tough message
calling people to stop their sinning.

All he had going for him was

raw courage
faithfulness to the message You gave him
and the fact that He was full to overflowing

with You.

Those things are within my reach, LORD!

…if I give myself totally to You.

And when they send people to ask who I am, I’ll tell them:

I’m Yours.

Amen .. and when we give ourselves totally to Him we know that being filled to over flowing with the Holy Spirit IS within reach. No matter how impressive or unimpressive we may be. How awesome is that.
