Lazaroo – Sunday, September 27, 2009
Sep 27, 2009 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in wide-eyed wonder:
“The men of Judah attacked Jerusalem also and took it. They put the city to the sword and set it on fire.”
(Judges 1:8)
And so it began.
Jerusalem.
The ancient city of David.
Capitol of Your nation Israel.
The city of Your holy Presence.
where You built Your holy temple
and when it was torn down, rebuilt it again
and though it was torn down yet again
where You will rebuild it once more.
The city Your people love above all others.
Outside its walls You were crucified, Jesus.
And to her Mount of Olives You will one day return in power!
From the very start it had to be taken by force.
You have had to retake it by force, again and again.
And today, it remains the city of Your chosen people
only by force.
Yours.
