Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in gratitude to the God who’s got your back:

“Bathsheba asked him, ‘Do you come peacefully?’ He answered, ‘Yes, peacefully.’”
(1 Kings 2:13)

He was lying through his teeth, Jesus.

But Bathsheba didn’t know that.
His request seemed reasonable to her.

So even though he had wronged her in the past

in her kindness, she gave him another chance
did her best to grant what he asked

not knowing that if he got it
it would cost her
her life.

But in spite of her naiveté, You intervened

saving Solomon’s throne
and her life.

Please, LORD:

Do that for me.
