Lazaroo – Thursday, January 13, 2011
Jan 13, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with over-the-top trust:
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you…”
(Colossians 1:9)
This part is really hard for me to get, Jesus – so please bear with me.
Why do I have to keep praying for the same person – or the same thing –
over and over and over and over again?
I mean, I understand why I might have to keep reminding a negligent human being…
but You?
Why?
Your memory is perfect.
You know what I want even before I ask.
You knew what the answer would be before I was born.
You’re all-loving, all-powerful.
You can do whatever You want, whenever You want.
So why this dance?
Why do You like me to beg You for the same thing
over and over and over and over again?
It doesn’t make any sense!
But You do.
So I will.
