Lazaroo – Thursday, July 15, 2010
Jul 15, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sobered humility:
“…the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower.”
(James 1:10)
What a picture, Jesus!
A wild flower is striking and beautiful while it lasts…
but it doesn’t last long.
If it’s an annual, it’s got one season
and that’s it.
If it’s a biennial, it lives two years
until it sets seeds and dies.
But even if it’s a perennial, it can be at the height of its glory
when an elephant steps on it
and instantly ends its time in the sun.
You’re telling me to watch what happens to wild flowers
if I want to learn what will happen to the rich.
Compared to many people in the world
I’m rich.
Wow.
Message received and recorded.
It’s time to shift my time and energy
to that which will last
forever.
