Lazaroo – Thursday, July 17, 2014

Jul 17, 2014 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pure devotion:

“Listen!”
(Song of Songs 2:8)

Why does anyone have to tell me, “Listen!” Jesus?

Probably because they think I’m not listening.

Sometimes I am listening and they don’t know it.

But sometimes they’re right:
I’m not listening.

Maybe I don’t think what they’re saying is important or interesting.

Or maybe I’m distracted by something else.

There are certain people You don’t want me to listen to! –

no matter how many times they try to get me to listen.

Well, this much I know:

I won’t go far wrong
so long as I make sure I’m listening to You.

    Steve,

Just as we all tend to see what we want to see (blind spots), we all tend to hear what we want to hear (deaf spots?). For instance, I’ve ceased to be amazed at the number of times I sat in the same auditorium as you during the GLS and heard an entirely different message. I suppose this is why Jesus said repeatedly, “For those of you with ears, let them hear.”
