Lazaroo – Thursday, July 29, 2010
Jul 29, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in wide-eyed wonder:
“Jesus Christ, who…has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father…”
(Revelation 1:5-6)
Oh, Jesus.
The implications of this are staggering.
Your kingdom
is now mine
will never end
is worth seeking at any cost
will grow and grow until it spreads everywhere
As a priest in Your kingdom
I am greater than some of the greatest prophets of the past
I am Your messenger, called to preach Your good news
You have entrusted me with exclusive responsibilities
You have given me Your secrets to share.
Just as Yours is no ordinary kingdom
I am no ordinary priest.
I am not a priest by birth
but by rebirth.
I am not a priest because of what I have done
but because of what You did.
Now that I have received such a high and holy calling
I can never, ever, ever
look back.
