Lazaroo – Thursday, March 24, 2011

Mar 24, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in the sweet peace of total surrender:

“…we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours…”
(2 Thessalonians 1:11)

I’ve got a lot of dreams, Jesus.

You’ve put in my heart some thoughts

hopes
plans
ideas

some fleeting, but persistent
others half-baked, simmering
still others fully formed.

When I contemplate what it would be like to realize them

my heart beats faster
my eyes brighten
I’m flooded with hope
I discover new reservoirs of energy
I’m able to put up with some of the junk of the now.

That is…

I think they’re from You.

But I don’t know –
not for sure –

“The man who thinks he knows something
does not yet know as he ought to know.”

So please:

Take these dreams…

and fulfill only the ones

that are truly from You.
