Lazaroo – Thursday, November 25, 2010
Nov 25, 2010 I Lazaroo.Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with eyes fixed on Jesus:
“What is twisted cannot be straightened; what is lacking cannot be counted.”
(Ecclesiastes 1:15)
I know this is what Solomon discovered when he examined the way things work on this earth, Jesus.
I’m not as smart or as wise as Solomon was
but I’ve discovered the same thing.
Once something’s twisted
it can be sort of straightened…
but not really.
You can still tell it was once a mess.
If something’s lacking…if it doesn’t have what it takes…
that’s too bad.
It’s disqualified.
It doesn’t count.
That’s just the way things work here on earth
until You step in.
I’m twisted
and You’ve promised to straighten me
one sin
one quirk
one shortcoming at a time.
I’m lacking in more ways than I can number
but when I look at what You did for me on the cross
I have no doubt whatsoever
In Your eyes…
I count.
