Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with deep resolve:

“…sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”
(James 1:15)

What a powerful warning, Jesus.

Most birth gives life.
But there is one birth that gives death:

sin.

When it’s full-grown, it doesn’t merely have the capacity to give birth to death –

it absolutely will give birth to death.

If I wait till sin is full-grown…

I’ve waited too late.

Once death is born, I can’t kill it.
It’s already dead.

I can’t let that happen, Jesus!

I’ve got to catch sin and eliminate it before it’s full-grown.

But how long does it take sin to reach maturity?

I’m not going to play that game.
I’ve got to get rid of sin in my life

the moment it pops up.

Better still…

I’ve got to stop it before it happens
by changing

the people
places
things

that keep leading me into its clutches.
