Lazaroo – Thursday, September 1, 2011
Sep 01, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sober judgment:
“I will not turn back my wrath…Because they have rejected the law of the LORD…”
(Amos 2:4)
This is a deeper level of sin, isn’t it, Jesus?
It’s different from
trying to do the right thing and messing up
succumbing to a moment of weakness
aiming high and falling short.
This is out and out rebellion.
It’s looking with scorn at the Ten Commandments
and claiming they have no authority to govern my life.
It’s saying the men and women through whom You’ve spoken down through the ages
are false prophets.
It’s labeling Your Sermon on the Mount nothing more than
the opinions of a deluded man.
It’s declaring You aren’t the Creator of heaven and earth
laughing at Your promise to return to earth
and take me to heaven to live with You.
It’s calling You a liar.
No wonder this is the sin
You won’t forgive.
