Lazaroo – Thursday, September 10, 2009

Sep 10, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with zealous devotion:

“Why do you tolerate wrong?”
(Habakkuk 1:3)

This amazes me, Jesus.

You’re perfect

Without sin.

On top of that –

You see everything
hear everything
know everything

even our thoughts.

So here’s the question that absolutely baffles me:

How in the world are You able to bear all the evil that’s going on?

You see and hear things I can’t even imagine.

Ugly things
Vile things
Despicable things

24 hours a day, seven days a week, You witness robberies, lies, rapes, tortures, murders –

all layered
one on top of another
in numbers so incomprehensibly vast

that even for You

they must be nearly intolerable.

And the thing is…

You could stop them.

All of them.

With a single word.

But You don’t.

this is all about learning to trust You

and wait…and wait…and wait…

for Your appointed time.

Rightness will prevail. He will be riding a great white horse and come out of the eastern sky. The LORD OF LORDS the KING OF KING. He will put and end to all the sin! He’s coming and I hope soon.

  2. Jeff Says:

That’s why He is God and I am not. In this fallen world, the cream eventually rises to the top. Lord, allow me to surface to the heights you can tolerate me.
