Sep 29, 2016 I Lazaroo.

Sell out totally to God as you pray this Lazaroo:

“The LORD said to me…”
(Hosea 3:1)

I always get a little nervous when somebody talks like that, Jesus.

Oh, not in Scripture!

I love it there.
I trust it.
I know it’s true.

I mean it makes me nervous when people I know – or even strangers – talk like that around me.

Not because I don’t believe it’s possible
but because I don’t believe it’s likely

…unless it comes from someone who through the years

I’ve come to respect.

Absolutely, Dan. Excellent point. I had in mind the person who says, “The LORD told me to tell you…” and expects you to immediately act on it. Apart from the confirmation from the LORD to which you referred, in most cases you’d be unwise to act on it. Of course, with that confirmation, you’d better! 🙂

  2. Dan B Says:

Steve, I know what you mean and mostly I agree. However, sometimes those closest to you will not be honest with you. Or, you’re not honest with them and therefore have an incorrect view of how you really are. There are times in Scripture when “the man of God” comes on the scene, says what needs to be said, then leaves. They may not “know you” but that could be a good thing. They’re not worried about not being your friend anymore because what they said revealed that hidden area you thought no one knew about. So in that case I listen to what they say, thank them, then ask the Lord about it.
