Lazaroo – Tuesday, April 9, 2013
Apr 09, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a listening ear:
“I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces.”
(Ecclesiastes 2:8)
Most people can’t say that, Jesus.
Oh, with Your help, wisdom and self-discipline
some of us are able to save up a little for a rainy day
others are set for life – so long as nothing unexpected happens.
But that’s the clinker, isn’t it? Times beyond counting
something unexpected happens.
So not everyone who has no savings can be charged with neglect.
Some have been hit again and again
by emergencies
uncontrollable setbacks
catastrophic illnesses.
Others weren’t given the personal capacity
the earning opportunities
to begin with.
Still others freely gave to those in need
to Your kingdom
with little regard for what it did to their own finances
trusting You to take care of their future.
May I stop judging others
while obeying You
in the path You’ve chosen for me.
